"Imagine a campus ministry that is rapidly growing across North America and doing so not through a lot of superficial fluff but through wise and winsome proclamation of Christ from all the scriptures. Further, imagine such a ministry is thoroughly Reformed not only in its doctrine but in its insistence that campus ministry is the work of the church—and therefore must be led by ordained ministers of word and sacrament accountable to their consistory or session. Instead of substituting their campus ministry for church, THIS campus ministry would draw students into Reformed churches. Just imagine.
Actually, you don't have to imagine anymore, because I've just described Reformed University Fellowship (RUF), a work of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). I know this group pretty well and every time I'm involved with their work my sails are filled with hope and encouragement for a new reformation. They are not narrowly sectarian: their first love is Christ as he is taught in Reformed faith and practice. And they are energetic evangelists with a heart for the sheep inside and outside the fold."
