"Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ...[have] the same love, being united in spirit, and having one purpose. Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself. Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well."

RUF desires to serve the Campus and the Community.

"RUF seeks to instill within students a deep love for the church. To that end, RUF campus ministers maintain close relationships with local churches and often lead in worship, preach, and serve the sacraments. Campus ministers direct students towards local churches so that they might experience a more robust community of faith during their college years. The rich diversity of the local church in terms of age, race, class, and vocation brings the even greater diversity of the worldwide church into sharp focus."

"So in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others..." Campus ministries can have a tendency to be self-contained, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it can make it hard to get to know other christian brothers and sisters on campus, even though we all share one on body and one love in Jesus Christ. 

RUF hopes to foster inter-ministry communication, fellowship and service.

"...Brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure,whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things. And what you learned and received and heard and saw...do these things."
